A Little More Risk
Having recently donned a new look, I wrote this article on HerUni.com about the benefits of making little changes to your life every now and again.
One of the greatest things about being a woman is the privilege to change how we look, whether that’s from day to day, day to night, or bigger changes that can last months or even years. (Please note, I am NOT talking about surgery here guys!) My friends and I love nothing more than looking over old pictures at all the different hairstyles and hair colours we have had. When you’re older, there is far less time to experiment with your appearance and take some risks. Let’s face it, if you’re trying a new hair dye that says will come out brown with a mahogany tint and you end up with a head looking like a cherry, chances are you’re not going to want to turn up to the office that day.
Try some new things while you’re young, so you can look back in 10 years and be so pleased that you tried it, and so pleased that you changed it! I believe that anyone who looks back over pictures of themselves and doesn’t say at least once, “WHAT WAS I THINKING?”, probably looks exactly the same as they did when they were 12 and really, where is the fun in that?
